Key Features
Display and Input: Equipped with a 0.42-inch OLED screen, this RotarySecure board provides clear, real-time feedback on lock status and input. A mini rotary encoder with push-button functionality allows for smooth and intuitive input of the 4-digit combination code, enhancing user experience.
LOCK Pin Output: The RotarySecure board includes a LOCK pin that outputs the lock status; HIGH when locked and LOW when unlocked. This feature allows for easy integration with external systems, providing immediate feedback on the lock’s status. This status pin can be used by a microcontroller to enable / disable functionality of external systems.
User-Defined Code: Users can easily set and change the 4-digit combination code. This flexibility ensures that security can be updated as needed without any technical complications. A discrete switch on the back of the PCB enables the user to enter the setup mode for the combination code. This ensures that code setting is straightforward but secure from accidental changes. The user can also de-solder a 0R resistor to disable the code-changing feature and enhance the security.
EEPROM Memory: The onboard EEPROM securely stores the combination code and the lock status. This ensures that all settings are preserved even when the power is turned off, providing reliable performance through power interruptions.
The RotarySecure board has the following pinouts:
- VIN: 3.3V to 5V
- LOCK: Lock status output pin. HIGH when locked and LOW when unlocked.
