The display board has the following pinouts:

  • 3V3: 3.3V Voltage Input
  • SCL: I2C Clock Signal
  • SDA: I2C Data Signal
  • GND

To use it, connect to a microcontroller via I2C (SCL, SDA, 3V3 and GND). It can be used with open source libraries such as: U8g2

Important: To use the library, you need to edit the u8x8_d_ssd1306_72x40.c file and modify the following line to invert the image:

  • Change U8X8_C(0x0a1) to U8X8_C(0x0a0)

This adjustment ensures that the image displays correctly in the cube. If not modified, the image will appear inverted.

When using the above library, be sure to use the following constructor: U8G2_SSD1306_72X40_ER_F_HW_I2C u8g2(U8G2_R2, / reset=/ U8X8_PIN_NONE); // EastRising 0.42" OLED
